2007 St. Innocent Winery Chardonnay Freedom Hill Vineyard Dijon Clone Willamette Valley
Producer: St. Innocent Winery
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: Oregon
Region: Willamette Valley
90 Points | International Wine Cellar , July 2009
($22) Pale yellow. Laid-back aromas of pear, orange and dusty minerals, with a subtle honeysuckle quality adding interest. Firm, finely etched citrus and pear skin flavors are refreshingly bitter, with lipsmacking minerality adding lift and contributing to the impression of dryness. Clean, juicy and fat-free, with excellent finishing clarity and cut. A serious value in grown-up, vibrant chardonnay. This is all Dijon clone 76, harvested at a shy 2.2 tons per acre and pressed with all whole clusters.
