2007 Agostina Pieri Rosso Di Montalcino

Bright, deep red. Lovely floral perfume of ripe red cherry and sweet spice complicated by hints of eucalyptus and cherry cola. Rich, sweet and mouthfilling, with complex flavors of strawberry, camphor and sweet pipe tobacco joined by a hint of balsamic vinegar. A very ripe and easygoing style of Rosso, combining a warm, velvety, mouthcoating texture and harmonious acidity on the long finish. This has picked up considerable volume and flesh since I first tasted it in February.
