($30; includes 5% petit verdot) Bright ruby. Fresh, spicy aromas of redcurrant and cherry. Bright and lively on the palate, with flavors similar to the aromas; manages to be both fleshy and nervy at the same time. A very nicely balanced midweight that closes on notes of bitter cherry and spicecake, with excellent clarity and persistence.
