Saturated ruby to the rim. Knockout nose combines crushed berries, pepper and roasted meat, all lifted by an exotic whiff of peach pit. Penetrating acidity gives this a youthful toughness today, with the dark berry liqueur flavors perked up by captivating white fruit notes . The rather powerful tannins call for several years of aging. This splendid petite sirah may ultimately merit an even higher score but it's tough going today.
