2007 A.P. Vin Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands Monterey County

Modestly fruity, ripe but just a touch on the dried grape side of the spectrum, this wine's aromas pick up hints of orange skins, cherry syrup and brushy hillsides. If fairly full and somewhat too hot and dense at the start, the wine never quite finds the bright and inviting parts of the variety and drifts into coarsening tannin in the latter palate and finish.
