About Betz Family Vineyards
At Betz Family Cellars, Bob Betz makes some of Washington's richest and most complete red wines from Bordeaux varieties. His success extends to Syrahs as well; these are at once silky, highly concentrated and wild -- and, along with those of Cayuse, more Rhône-like in style than any others in Washington State.

($44) Good bright ruby-red. Black raspberry and licorice on the nose. Large-scaled and mouthfilling but with superb floral lift and an added element of density and structure from the petit verdot component. Not yet expressing itself but this young wine boasts terrific verve and energy for aging. Betz notes that his 2007 Bordeaux blends were racked only a total of three times during their elevage
