($32) Dark red. Plum, redcurrant and graphite aromas are complemented by sexy spicy oak. The palate offers a good tight core of primary merlot fruit, but this ripe wine also conveys an impression of elevated acidity. Finishes juicy, firmly tannic and persistent, in need of some patience.
