($80) Saturated red. Powerful, smoky aromas of dark berries and cherry compote, with exotic spice and incense notes adding complexity. Deeply concentrated black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors are enlivened by a suave mineral quality and framed by velvety tannins. Distinctly rich pinot with very good finishing breadth and a lingering note of candied licorice.
