($40) Bright ruby-red. Red berries, cherry, mocha and tobacco on the nose, along with some nutty oak. Very sweet, lush and seamless, with flavors of redcurrant, graphite and licorice joined by a late note of chocolate. Finishes with ripe, building tannins and good length but I wanted a bit more lift.
