Markham's Got Merlot
by Burt12658044
A well done straight forward wine. A shimmering ruby juice. Great nose of blackberry, dark cherry and red raspberry with some currant and green herbal notes. A touch of smoke and oak with black tea around the edges. Wonderful. The blackberry and sweet dark cherry tannins are firm and focused nicely by medium tannins to the spice and acidity. A lingering, juicy aftertaste is a proper reward. Will drink well for 3-5 years. Markham appears to have this merlot thing down pat. Paul
