($60; all from Hyde Vineyard) Greenish gold. Highly nuanced nose combines citrus fruits, fresh herbs, iodine and candied ginger, with a strong mineral undertone. Juicy, dense and chewy, but vibrant for all its size and power. Offers a captivating balance of deep fruit, smoky minerals and spices. This very rich, slightly saline wine really saturates the palate with flavor and finishes with noteworthy grip and a resonating note of iodine.
