About Saintsbury
In 1977, David Graves and Richard Ward met for the first time in a oenology class at UC Davis. Both Pinot Noir lovers, they decided to start bottling their own. By 1981 they had released their first vintage, 2000 cases from purchased Carneros grapes.

($20) Pale yellow. Nectarine, pear and a trace of leesy complexity on the nose and palate. Supple but subtle and laid-back; offers good energy but limited concentration and personality today. A light oak spice component adds interest on the moderately long finish.
