90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2010

($38; a blend of 51% merlot, 40% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot) Good full ruby-red. Cherry, plum and licorice on the nose. A sweet, pliant, rich style, with red fruit flavors showing a chocolatey ripeness but also perked up by fresh herbs and spices. Finishes with sweet tannins that will not prevent early enjoyment. This wine "gets the leftovers," says Chris Peterson modestly. If this is made mostly from declassified lots, it's an extremely successful blend.
