($75) Opaque ruby. Powerful, youthfully brooding aromas of cherry pit, dark chocolate, licorice and black pepper. Opens with air to offer sweet dark berry flavors and a strong note of candied flowers. Firm tannins build in the glass and carry through a long, pungent and very spicy finish. This wine deserve patience.
