Best Cab QPR of the Vintage

What a sensational wine - fruit forward, great finish. Better than many cabs at 2-3 times the price.
Hail this Cab

I have been holding on to this wine for a little while, but could not take the suspense any longer. I opened my first of 6 bottles and WOW! This, for me, is the best that I could ask for in a Cab. Smooth, silky, full bodied, and deep in color. I enjoyed every sip from this great vintage. Wish I had purchased a case of this single vinyard Cab.
Awesome wine for the $$$$s

We loved it, improves greatly with a few hours of decanting. Wineaccess has impressed again.
Really nice Cab!

Upon opening, the nose is full of cassis and vanillin oak, along with some spices. The palate is very smooth with cassis. It's very smooth and velour-like, both on the palate and on the finish. Nothing harsh here. After 45 minutes decant, other black fruits appear - blackberry and black cherry, and the wine is just sumptuous - super smooth and extremely long in the finish. This was wonderful with cedar planked salmon. I can't imagine a wine much better than this, and while it may get better with time, it will be very hard to find out. I'm glad I bought a case!
Amateur Opinion - Delicious!

The best wine I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. That may not say much, given my lack of experience. But I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Getting better with a little time

Terrific 2007 Cab from Levendi Sweetwater Ranch

Upon tasting the first bottle several days after it arrived, I wished I had purchased more. Therefore when the Redux offer was made available I knew I had to take advantage. This is a big, lush cab with great mouthfeel. If it's this good now, I can only hope and imagine what it will be like in a few years of cellaring. It may be very difficult to hold myself back over the long run and ration my bottles. I love this wine.....
Delicious

Agree with the other reviewers that said that this needs air or time to show it's full potential, but it's still absolutely delicious right out of the gate. It's been a long while since I've seen richness and balance paired this well *and* delivered for under 100 bucks a bottle.

Surprise Performer - Finishes Strong!!

First off, what a bottle - great heft and well crafted cylinder; the graphics and artwork are top notch. Never-mind, whats in the bottle is the yardstick. Big, lush nose of cassis and blackberry, little oak and nutmeg, albeit a bit muted. Dark purple robe and long legs; alcohol makes brief appearance at PnP then dissolves to background noise. Plush, velvety dark fruit in mouth, was about to get disappointed it may be too fruit forward and sweet, but as finish crescendos tannins and mineral notes build to restore balance. Long, moderately dry finish, big fruit and bold, hugely round tannins. Drink this one on the cooler side of your CabSauv temperature preference. I really like this now, expect to tremendously love in 2+ years. B+/92+

Smooth, rich and full now, but undoubtedly will improve with a bit more bottle age. Worked with a range of food: braised short ribs, grilled tri-tip and even Stilton cheese! Glad I purchased enough to savor its development over the years to come.

Very big fruit forward. Took time to open up, but then had great flavor.
So disappointed

I had purchased the 2005 Levendi and loved it. I was so excited to get the 2007 expecting the same smooth wine. After a 5 month wait due to weather delays I opened the first bottle it was harsh and bitter, not at all what I expected. I opened my second bottle last night hoping it was just the one bottle. Even after putting it through the aerator and letting it sit for two hours I was still disappointed, it softened slightly but still nothing close to the 2005. Wouldn't you know I bought a whole case of this stuff.
Not a wine I would repurchase - disappointing

Harsh...even after having been decanted for over 2 hours. Either the two bottles I have already tried were both bad or this wine is far from "silky" as promoted. I'll let it sit in the cellar for a year and hope for the best. I'm not sure which WA members rated this wine a 4 or a 5. They lost credibility on this wine. I think I'll stick to wines professionally rated. I seem to have much better luck that way.
