89 Points | International Wine Cellar , August 2012

(70% chardonnay, 10% gewürztraminer, 10% pinot bianco and 10% pinot grigio):  Bright amber-yellow with gold highlights.  Dried apricot, fig and honey aromas are lifted by a fresh floral scent.  Delicate and refined on the palate, with citrus, pear and apricot flavors lingering nicely through the moderately sweet, vanilla-laced finish.  This doesn't have quite the definition or concentration for an outstanding rating, but I admire the wine's purity, balance and lightly sweet personality.  Reportedly made from a yield of 20 hectoliters per hectare, this spent 12 months in French barriques

About Italy

Italy, like France, offers a world of wine styles within a single country: dry Italian white wines ranging from lively and minerally to powerful and full-bodied; cheap and cheerful Italian red wines in both a cooler, northern style and a richer, warmer southern style; structured, powerful reds capable of long aging in bottle; sparkling wines; sweet wines and dessert wines.
