($15; 100% monastrell) Bright ruby. Pungent cherry and blackberry aromas are complemented by notes of black tea, smoked meat and licorice. Juicy dark berry flavors are braced by tangy minerality and gain ripeness with air. Lush and creamy, with strong finishing sweetness and a late note of bitter cherry skin. I'd serve this with a piece of grilled lamb.
