($44) Good deep ruby. Explosive aromas of crushed blackberry and black pepper. Incredibly concentrated but hugely tannic, with brooding black fruit flavors perked up by a pungent peppery element. With its combination of tannins and firm acids, this demands a fatty cut of meat, or a decade in the cellar. "This one may age for 30 years," notes winemaker Ehren Jordan.
