About Chehalem
Almost thirty years ago Harry Peterson-Nedry began scouting potential vineyard locations in Oregon's burgeoning wine country. He soon discovered what's now called Ribbon Ridge, an ancient, uniform sedimentary hillside at the extreme western end of the Chehalem Mountains. There, he planted the Ridgecrest Vineyard, Chehalem's oldest, in 1982.

($44) Bright red. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, with sexy notes of incense and minerals adding interest. Tangy, tightly focused strawberry and raspberry flavors open with air and pick up a deeper black cherry quality. The mineral note repeats on the finish, which is impressively pure, focused and long.
