Smoky dark berries and a flinty nuance on the nose.  Smoky, fairly large-scaled and concentrated; plump in the middle, with a distinctly chewy quality to its redcurrant flavors.  Finishes with substantial tannins and a dry suggestion of nut skin.

Syrah

While the grape is currently grown throughout the world, the most elegant Syrahs still come from the Northern Rhone valley, particularly the appellations of Côte Rôtie, Cornas, and Hermitage.
