About Louis Michel & Fils
In six generations of winemaking here in Chablis, the Michel family has developed a no nonsense approach. You won't find the distracting presence of oak in these immaculate Chardonnays, because no wood is used in their cellaring.
2008 Louis Michel & Fils Chablis Vaillons
Producer: Louis Michel & Fils
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
90 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2010
($34) Bright pale yellow. A bit less pristine and limestone-driven than the For e ts, offering sexy aromas of mango and grilled bread. Supple, sweet and fruity, with ripe, perfectly integrated acidity giving the wine shape and lift. One could start drinking this very expressive 2008 now, but its building finish suggests that it will be even better for a couple years of cellaring.
