95 Points | International Wine Cellar , November/December 2009

($95) Medium greenish yellow. Initially restrained nose requires aeration before slowly releasing ripe apricot, anise, pine and grapefruit followed by peach and smoky flint in a wave of aromas. Very full-bodied and concentrated, yet with a refreshing quality for such a silky wine thanks to its firm acid backbone. High-extract peach and apricot flavors are interwoven with wet stone and yellow currant. The bracing finish boasts extraordinary persistence. Truly great aging potential for this riesling from the outstanding Achleithen vineyard. Drink 2011 to 2028.
