($65; 80% roussanne and 20% bourboulenc Light, bright yellow. Pungent aromas of orange zest, pear and lees, with a hint of smoky minerality. Plump, honeyed orchard fruit flavors are braced by zesty minerals and pack a solid punch, showing good spicy cut on the back half. Blends richness and vivacity with a deft hand and finishes with very good clarity and stony persistence. (Eric Solomon Selections, Charlotte NC
