About Domaine Zind Humbrecht
The properties of Zenon Humbrecht and Emile Zind merged in 1959 to form Zind-Humbrecht. The domaine now covers 40 hectares in five villages in the Haut-Rhin; its best parcels from four Grand Cru vineyards: Brand, Hengst, Goldert, and Clos St. Urbain on the steep slopes of Rangen.
90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2010
($35; 13.4% alcohol, 70 g/l r.s. and 6.9 acidity) Pale orange-gold. Aromas of pineapple, rose petal and orange oil, plus a suggestion of more exotic fruits. Creamy, spicy and rich, but with the brisk acidity and supporting minerality to support its considerable sweetness. The exotic fruit suggestions carry through on the palate, with a pepperminty note perking up the finish.
