90 Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2012

(70% marsanne and 30% viognier):  Bright yellow.  Captivating, soil-inflected aromas of peach, lichee, smoked meat, flowers and sexy oak; smells like an Old World wine.  Lush, rich and slightly sweet, with an opulent mouthfeel and an umami-like saline character.  This plump yet shapely wine wears its near-15% alcohol gracefully.  Finishes with very good subtle persistence.  I'd enjoy this wine in the next year or two.

About Napa Valley

Napa Valley is the most famous wine-growing area in the U.S. It begins at the base of Mount St. Helena in the north and tapers off some 30 miles to the south into the floodplain where the Napa River enters San Francisco Bay. From Mount St. Helena to the city of Napa, the valley is defined by two north-south ridgelines of the Coast Range Mountains.
