($35; for 375 ml.) Yellow-gold color. Deep, smoky aromas of peach and apricot nectar, floral honey and brown butter. Fleshy, impressively concentrated pit fruit and melon flavors are complicated by a strong candied floral quality and become more honeyed on the back end. Gentle acidity adds focus and grip to the finish, which is long, sappy and penetrating. I'm not sure I'd have guessed this to be made from riesling, such is its power and richness.
