(a blend of chardonnay, gewurztraminer and riesling) Light gold. Flamboyant aromas of orange, banana, iodine and fresh flowers, with a suave spicy undertone: you can really smell the chardonnay here. More ripe citrus flavors on the palate, along with hints of gingerbread and tangy pineapple. Much more precise than the '07 version, this also has better balance-and lovely saline and citrus nuances on the long, smooth finish. The 2008 vintage was better than 2007 for the white wines of this area, and this wine shows it.
