92 Points | International Wine Cellar , March/April 2011

(aged 15 months in French oak, 70% new):  Bright pale yellow.  Captivating aromas of peach, nectarine, flinty minerality, nutmeg and sexy oak.  The palate offers lovely restrained sweetness and concentration, with the strong mineral component giving the wine terrific life in the mouth.  Finishes long and supple, with a note of marzipan.  This very sexy young chardonnay needs a bit more time in bottle to gain additional complexity but does not seem to be high in acidity. This was the first vintage vinified by Randolph Christians, who was assistant winemaker here for years until Adi Badenhorst left to begin his own operation.
