91(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2010

($40) Medium gold. Highly aromatic nose combines orange marmalade, spices, white flowers, mint, menthol and crushed stone. Pungent, tactile and serious, conveying a drier impression than the Langenberg. The flavors of apple, pineapple and spice are complicated by stony, minerally soil tones. Very subtle, complex wine with an almost tannic finish perked up by a peppery quality. I like this.
