(95% marsanne and 5% roussanne) Yellow-gold color. Mineral-driven aromas of Meyer lemon, apple and nectarine, with dusty minerals and dried flowers adding complexity. Sappy, penetrating citrus flavors are given spine by tangy minerality and pick up a deeper note of honey with air. The finish is precise, juicy and impressively long, leaving spice and floral notes behind. This is light years removed from the tired, nutty style of northern Rhone white wines that old-time winos remember from the 1980s.
