About Maison Chapoutier

Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

($92) Yellow-gold. Pungent aromas of pear nectar, honey, lemon pith and spices, with a suave floral quality in the background. Juicy, penetrating orchard fruit and citrus flavors are enlivened by a spicy quality and show no rough edges. Smooth and appealingly floral, finishing with very good clarity and mineral-driven persistence.

Incidentally, along with Roussane, up to...
