About Domaine Louis Michel
In six generations of winemaking here in Chablis, the Michel family has developed a no nonsense approach. You won't find the distracting presence of oak in these immaculate Chardonnays, because no wood is used in their cellaring.
92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2010
($67) Pale yellow. Complex nose melds lemon zest, peach, licorice and powdered stone, all lifted by a violet topnote. Big, rich and spicy but with excellent lift in the middle palate. Very fine-grained grand cru with a slowly building finish that perfumes the palate with lemon and orange zest. This smooth, large-scaled wine needs some time in bottle.
