About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2008 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Montmains
Producer: Domaine William Fevre
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
89-91 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2009
(domaine wine) Pale yellow-green. Musky nose suggests fresh herbs and smoky spices; there's something gruner veltliner-like about this. Then rich, spicy and dry on the palate but not yet filled in. The spicy, peppery finish is long and dry, but currently displays a youthfully bitter quality.
