($17) Medium greenish-yellow. Distinctive aromas and flavors of tobacco, meadow blossom, apple and pear. This wine seems to have medium everything-body, intensity and acidity-and yet it is far from mundane. Crisp, racy acidity and fine peppery spices combine with wet rock and lemony nuances on the finish. A wine with noteworthy balance and persistence. Drink now through 2018.
