($225; a selection of the best barrels from three disparate vineyards) Good medium ruby. A compote of red, black and blue fruits on the nose, lifted by spicy oak. Suave and silky on the palate, with fully ripe flavors of red berries, blueberry, smoke and pepper. Finishes broad, dry and seriously long, with big, smooth tannins and very good focus. Lovely fruit here.
