($100) Full ruby-red. Aromas of black raspberry, cola and sweet smoky oak. Supple and sweet, with red berry, coffee and sassafras flavors carrying a full load of oak. Finishes with fine-grained but building tannins and a chocolatey oak character that eventually overshadowed the wine's fruit.
