($65) Full ruby-red. Darker aromas of cassis and bitter chocolate. Densely packed and superripe, with a suggestion of chocolate liqueur. A more powerful but less supple style than the 2006 Kathryn Hall bottling but still sweet and fairly suave. Finishes with youthfully tough tannins.
