About Chateau Soucherie
Pierre-Yves Tijou runs this estate with his sons; and, together, they produce stylish, restrained wines with good balance and structure, offering a pleasing interplay of minerals, earth and pear, apple and peach fruit. Acidities are sound but rarely intrusive. Most wines are vinified in tank, but a few top cuvees (Cuvee Anais from Savennieres and Cuvee S from Côteaux du Layon) are vinified in barrel.

Pale pink. Brisk red berry, blood orange and anise aromas are accented by a fine mineral quality. Clean and vibrant on the palate, offering tangy red berry and citrus flavors and good back-end lift. Finishes on a bitter note, with good clarity and mineral persistence.
