($25; 54% cabernet sauvignon and 46% shiraz) Inky ruby. Ripe dark berries and cherry-vanilla on the nose, with a strong overlay of smoky minerals. Broad and fleshy on the palate, displaying sweet cassis and cherry compote qualities and smooth tannins. With its powerful finishing thrust and lingering, sweet dark fruit character this fairly intense wine needs rich food.
