($23; 100% tempranillo from 80-year-old vines) Good bright, dark ruby-red. Cool red and black fruits, licorice and minerals on the precise nose. Then dense and sweet on the palate, with impressive energy and clarity to the flavors of black raspberry, rose and cracked pepper. A nicely fresh, juicy wine that finishes with excellent purity and silky tannins. I like this wine's vivacity and focus.
