($55) Medium yellow-gold, with a green cast. Smoky, lees-accented pear, melon and mango aromas are complemented by cumin, vanilla and allspice. Lush, palate-coating orchard fruit and melon flavors are firmed by a tangy mineral quality and pick up smoke and butter notes on the back end. Tastes a lot like a top-drawer wine from Pouilly-Fuisse and finishes impressively long, with good grip and a strong echo of smoke and lees.
