($9; 65% monastrell and 35% syrah) Opaque ruby. Blackberry, cracked pepper and anise on the nose, with a suave floral overtone. Vibrant dark berry flavors are nicely framed by silky tannins and given depth by a note of bitter chocolate. A note of violet lingers on the juicy, gently sweet finish. Hard to imagine getting more complexity for the money.
