About Beckmen Vineyards
When winemaker Steve Beckmen returned from Italy in 1997, he was convinced that his family's recently purchased hillside in Santa Barbara County would be perfect for growing Rhône varietals. His father Tom was skeptical, but since then, Purisima Mountain Vineyard has established itself as one of the finest sources of Syrah and Grenache in the Central Coast.

Can't be beat for the price

I served this wine at a large dinner for friends and everyone loved it. At the price you can't beat it. Great fresh berry flavors with a decent finish. Not to be misconstrued for a monumental Cab but it is exactly what WineAccess described it to be; an easy drinking Cab/Syrah blend.
Not your typical CA cab!

Very pleasant Bordeaux old world style, NOT the big, in-your-face CA cab style. I have become a big fan of Beckmen, especially their syrah and grenache. This was a new one for me and I'm glad I've got some more to bottle age and taste again over a few years.
