($75) Slightly washed-out red color. Pungent aromas of aromatic herbs, spices and earth. Intensely flavored and firmly built, with a tactile, dusty texture to the flavors of dried herbs, flowers and spices. A bit of spritz accentuates the wine's dryness. Intriguing, soil-driven pinot but in a rather extreme style: I wanted more fruit.
