($46) Opaque purple. Exotic perfume of boysenberry, singed plum, cherry-cola, violet and licorice, with a subtle savory note of olive in the background. Fleshy, palate-staining dark fruit flavors are framed by velvety tannins that fade away on the back end. The floral quality repeats strongly on the finish, which lingers with excellent authority. This saw no new oak.
