Deep ruby with a bright rim.  Seductive, perfumed aromas of dark berries, mocha and pungent flowers and herbs.  Spicy, deeply pitched blackcurrant and bitter cherry flavors are lifted by tangy minerals and take on a smoky nuance with air.  Finishes with gentle grip and very good persistence, leaving a bitter chocolate quality behind.  This bottling has a fine track record for aging.
