($12) Inky ruby. Smoky aromas of dark berries, cracked pepper and cherry skin are very syrah-like. Supple, smooth, nicely concentrated cherry and dark berry flavors betray no rough edges or tannins. Finishes with good clarity and lingering sweetness. What this lacks in complexity it makes up in easy drinkability.
