94 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2009

($266) Opaque purple. Explosively aromatic scents of dark berry compote, pipe tobacco, minerals, potpourri and smoky Indian spices. Vibrant and shockingly pure, especially in the context of this ripe vintage, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors and an exotic floral pastille quality. Gains weight and ripeness with air, finishing with clinging sweetness and great length. All of the revenue from this limited bottling is donated to charity in memory of Fernando Remirez de Ganuza's daughter Maria, who was killed at the age of 12 in a car accident. (Fine Estates from Spain, Dedham, MA)
