($19; a blend of syrah, garnacha tintorera and garnacha tinta) Bright purple. Musky cherry and dark berry aromas are complicated by cola, cracked pepper and tobacco. A bit clenched right now, offering primary blackberry and bitter cherry flavors and a chewy texture. Finishes with good spicy lift and gently sweet persistence. This wine, which right now needs some vigorous aeration but will be accessible earlier than Finca Sandoval or TNS, is a blend of 50% syrah, 38% garnacha tintorera (alicante bouschet) and 12% garnacha tinta (grenache).
