90(+?)? Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September 2010

(50% cabernet sauvignon, 20% each merlot and cabernet franc, and 10% shiraz Good deep red. Complex aromas of black- and redcurrant, raspberry, graphite, tobacco, mocha, smoke, menthol and truffle, with a slight greenness. Focused and suave in an Old World way, with attractive sweetness to its flavors of berries and dried flowers. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and excellent length. Highly nuanced and structured wine but with slightly spiky acidity giving the finish a tart edge. This clearly needs at least a few years of aging to harmonize.
